This exam is conducted by different universities all over INDIA through semiautonomous or autonomous approach. It can be conducted jointly as per state universities or at its own level individually. Haryana is such a state which conducts M.Sc. entrance on joint basis for seven universities through one entrance but on the other hand Punjab university and HPU, DU, KU, GNDU conducts individually.
There is no age limit to join the M.Sc course. Students can join this course after they finish their B.Sc or even at a later stage. Aspirants who have finished their graduation or are appearing can apply for the M.Sc course. Students require a score of above 50 percent for some universities or 60 percent minimum to get admittance into a college.
It is conducted through an entrance test. The Entrance Test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) or Multiple Select Options(MSQs) or Numerical Assertion Test(NAT). The duration of the test differs with the pattern of examination conducted by the university or research institute.
It consists of questions from the relevant subjects studied in the qualifying exams during B.Sc or Graduation. However, there can be questions from Reasoning, English, Legal Aptitude, GK, and General Awareness for some of the courses covered under university curriculum and syllabus scheme taught during graduation. Students must follow and chalk out their syllabus based upon their graduation years syllabus pattern. There are some students who gets confused regarding syllabus so it is presumed that paper will come from some other books or syllabi.
Exam Pattern generally consists of objective type multiple choice questions. However it can also contain descriptive type questions for some specific courses under some universities.
How to apply:
· Register Online.
· Note down your Login Id and Password.
· Download SBI Slip and pay fee in any SBI branch.
· Login and upload scanned a photograph, signature, fill other important information Save and Confirm.
· Download your Admit Card on the due date.
This information is totally viable and varies with different institutes. As per information, UNIVERSITY like JNU provides a scholarship of 3600/- per month to students admitted under its programs. The research institutes also provide scholarship on a monthly basis to students under various M.Sc integrated Ph.D. programs. But general universities do not provide a scholarship under M.Sc entrance scheme but can provide fellowship on the basis of the economically weaker section or through other schemes for privileged o underprivileged categories.
